A New Clutter Strategy

0

Before you wave the white flag to your clutter let’s approach the battle with a new strategy. Doesn’t it seem that the stuff refuses to stay where it belongs; therefore changing its rank from things to clutter? Or maybe it’s like trying to get the cat into the bath – legs spray apart, hissing and fighting.

What if it’s not the clutter that is putting up a fight? What if there is a more subtle battle going on inside of you that allows clutter to win the war? Except that, it’s not really winning, it’s just a temporary road block to your success. It’s time to move through the road block, whatever it takes; over it, under it, through it – you can do it.

Here’s how:
1. Awareness – Be willing to see how clutter is affecting you in your life. Be willing to trust that there’s something within you that is greater than the clutter and chaos. God, Spirit – trust it will be a source of support for your journey
2. Investigate – Look within for the truth about clutter. What purpose does it serve and why is it necessary for you to keep it around?
3. Release – Be willing to let go of the old stories you tell yourself about the clutter and choose a new story, the new truth – your truth.
4. Maintain – Slight persistent effort and positive affirmations keep organization on the front line and clutter at bay.
5. Share – The best way to keep and reinforce a new habit, lesson or lifestyle is to share it with others. Tell others what you’ve done and spread the joy not the clutter.

Make a choice to win the internal battle over clutter and disorganization and your external environment will begin to reflect the work you have done!
